The Answer: Tubes of Jamaican Rum, Appleton Estate, Jamaica
I spotted this tubes of rum while on tour at the Appleton Rum Estate in Jamaica–thought they were pretty and sort of trippy and so, I took the shot in anticipation of playing this game.

All right… *cracks knuckles” Let’s get started…
These look like roll-up blinds/louvres. Commonly used as shutters on windows and doorways if the house is on a noisy street.
*leans back in chair*
😉
I can hear those knuckle cracking all the way over here!
Nice guess, but nope. PS: Don’t lean back too far in that chair.
These look like freezies (Fla-Vor-Ice). I remember eating and making these as a kid in the Philippines. But judging from your tags on the right, I am guessing these are from Indonesia.

HI, Jeruen. Great guess, but nope–not freezies and not Indo!
Ok, time to ask questions. You mentioned tourists enjoyed it. Did they enjoy it by touch, by taste, or by sight?
Jeruen recently posted..Berlin Boogie: Teufelsberg Listening Station
Ah…smart to ask questions! I’d say taste and sight–not touch. Also, quite a few tourists have seen what’s in the photo. Many. It’s definitely on the beaten path, not off.
Ok, more questions. Taste and sight you say, so I am guessing this is edible? Is it solid (but not freezies)? Or is it liquid?
Jeruen recently posted..Berlin Boogie: Teufelsberg Listening Station
Liquid–yes. And check the recent comments. Someone is very close to guessing it! And it’s not Robert.
A TANNING BED!

Ha ha, Hogga–that’s pretty funny. That would be an awful chair to sit on. Ouch.
Bright colors? Mexico.

Nope. #losingyourtouch
Hi Lisa, your photos looks like it’s showing some tubes with liquid of different color. Since you are speaking of enjoyment, my wild guess would be that these tubes are filled with different types of beer, from white over blonde, amber and brown to black. I have seen those in a restaurant and brewery…

Hi, Dennis. Thanks for playing! And guess what? You’re in the lead at the moment. Yes, they are tubes full of liquid and beer is ‘very warm’ in terms of accuracy. Guess another alcoholic beverage and where I was and you’ll be declared the winner. You are so close!!!
Well, Lisa if I was so close already and judging by the fact that your latest posts were from Jamaica, I would have to correct my guess and assume that the tubes were filled with Jamaican sugarcane rum. Maybe you were visiting a local distillery…

You got it!
It was the Appleton Rum Estate. Technically, another player beat you several hours ago, but I’m going to call it a tie since you knew it was an alcoholic beverage first.
Great, thanks a lot Lisa! Good to know that, even if my German background made me think of beer first, at least I had the correct idea of what is shown on the photo…

Dennis Kopp recently posted..Closed Mataram and Senggigi Beach
Ha ha–I can understand the German background leading to thoughts of beer.
Great job and thanks for playing!
You were doing a rhum tasting in Jamaica?
Jeruen recently posted..Growing my Travel Altar
Yup–at Appleton! I’m calling this one a tie since someone else guessed that it was an alcoholic beverage before you, but then you guessed it was rum.
Poor Robert.
I notice Lisa that it is 6 weeks since this one ended, but you haven’t posted a fresh photo. I guess you are searching for one of the southern hemisphere…
